NOTICE OF HEARING AND MEETING

Notice is hereby given that a Public Meeting/Hearing of the Rock County Board of Commissioners will be held on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. at the Courtroom of the Rock County Courthouse, 400 S State St., Bassett Nebraska.

The Board of Commissioners will review and consider recommendations of the Rock County Planning Commission and the statements of the general public on two (2) “Special Exception Use Permit” applications submitted by: (1) Marietta Farms for a 1,000 head Cattle Confinement Barn (the proposed location is 9 miles South on Hwy 183 and 1-1/2 miles West, located in the SW1/4SE1/4 of Section 29, Township 29 North, Range 19, all West of the 6^th P.M., Rock Co., NE); and (2) Melissa Osentowski for a Subdivision (the proposed location is 1 mile South on Hwy. 183., located in the NW1/4NW1/4 of Section 21, Township 30 North, Range 19, all West of the 6^th P.M., Rock Co., NE).

A copy of the Applications is available for public inspection at the Rock County Clerk’s Office, 400 South State Street, Bassett, Nebraska 68714 during normal business hours.

All interested parties may provide comments at the public hearing and/or submit written statements with the County Board concerning the Applications. Written comments may be submitted to the Rock County Clerk prior to the hearing or presented at the hearing. Following the public hearing, the Rock County Board of Commissioners may take action to approve or deny the Applications.

The County Board of Commissioners may also consider other items as set forth on an agenda which is kept continuously current and is available for public inspection at the office of the Rock County Clerk at the Rock County Courthouse, 400 South State Street, Bassett, Nebraska.
